Public-Private Joint Forum on Exploring Sustainable and Effective Pandemic Response Strategies

On January 22 2026, KDCA convened experts from various sectors to discuss strategies for preparing for future pandemics (Disease X). Experts from various fields shared insights on public health response, vaccines and therapeutics development, and international cooperation.

Tabletop Exercise in Lao PDR Based on a Simulated MERS Outbreak Scenario

Through the SHEPERD project, KDCA will continue supporting Lao PDR in strengthening public health emergency preparedness and response capabilities through 2027 and plans to provide ongoing technical support, including evaluation and consultation for future emerging infectious disease exercises.

Training and Capacity-Building Programs to Strengthen Epidemiological Investigation Capacity in Mongolia

As part of the “Mongolia Infectious Disease Response and Cooperation for AntimiCrobial Resistance and Laboratory Empowerment (MIRACLE) Project (2023 – 2027),” KDCA conducted epidemiological investigation training and exercise programs for Mongolia’s Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) mentor-level trainees from April 16 to 17.

Building Collective Resilience through Data Sharing and Partnership

In June, KDCA participated in the Global Health Security Conference 2026 in Malaysia and hosted a panel session on data collaboration to strengthen infectious disease network across the Asia-Pacific region.
